Heartiest Chicken Soup
You Need:
- 6 cuts of chicken
- Chicken Broth
- 1/2 can of pumpkin
- 4-6 medium sized potatoes, cut into cubes, skin on
- 1 can of sliced carrots
- 1 can of peas
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 head of garlic, chopped
- Spices to taste
- Boil chicken in a large pot until cooked
- Take chicken off bones in large pieces and put it back into the pot
- Turn temperature down to simmer and throw in the potatoes, carrots, peas, onions, and garlic
- Add broth as necessary
- Continue to simmer until everything is cooked
- Add the canned pumpkin and more broth if necessary and stir well
- Add spices and continue to simmer on low for a half hour to an hour
- Serve soup and refrigerate or freeze leftover portions
