Agamemnon
November 2006:
Current Question: What to do with my life?
Answer: Agamemnon
After a night of dreaming (not unusual), I woke up the following morning with the word 'Agamemnon' stuck in my head. I'd never heard the word before so I had no idea what it was. I would have ignored it, but it was as if someone was screaming the word in my head, over and over.
Finally, I Googled it and found out that Agamemnon is a character of Greek mythology.
I knew this was meant to be a message of some sort for me, but I had no idea what: Agamemnon was known for being a great warrior who, through sacrifice (namely family), achieved his goals.
Now this hit home for me (no pun intended) as I'd been struggling with family issues that were effecting my progress (emotional and other).
Then I had a very good friend give me a card reading on Agamemnon having called me. The reading literally showed me my full potential (career-wise), as well as some of the steps along the way. This reading was like looking into a crystal ball - it was amazing! This friend didn't even know all this stuff about me and my dreams.
Basically, as far as the reading went, Agamemnon called me to tell me (as a perfect example of achieving great feats through sacrifice and constantly getting blown off course) to draw upon his message of power - through his example in Greek mythology.
Research:
Agamemnon led the Greek allied forces in the attack against Troy. He sacrificed his daughter to bring the fair winds needed for the "thousand ships"to sail to Troy. Agamemnon was a great leader, a brilliant strategist, and was willing to do whatever it took to achieve his goals.
Agamemnon sacrificed family for the sake of his goal, and for me this represents sacrificing emotional entanglements (especially family) in order to move forward.
Agamemnon had to sacrifice his children to Artemis, because he killed an animal sacred to Her, then bragged he was as good a hunter as She. The Goddess wasn't happy, and demanded that Agamemnon sacrifice his daughter.
....on his way home from his battles, his boat kept getting blown off course.
Agamemnon is an epithet for Zeus (a Greek God of Power).
Message:
This confirms the reading my good friend gave me: the reading was very strong and very detailed and the message was regarding my career as a writer: the message is that I will be a leader for many people in a behind the scenes sort of way... that I must have that same determination and belief in myself in order to achieve this success.
The reading showed my full potential in a very strong and certain way and confirmed for me that the path I want to go on is indeed the correct one.
